FaxFacts comprises a family of
enhanced fax software applications designed to keep facsimile
communication current and effective for business. FaxFacts®
Server sets up outbound and inbound faxing from networked
workstations. FaxFacts® Fax-on-Demand creates a virtual library
of documents your customers can download to a fax machine any
time, day or night. These are the two basic FaxFacts® systems.
FaxFacts® Fax Server sets up fax capabilities at each
workstation on a network. That means each workstation can send
and receive faxes to or from any fax machine in the world,
24-hours per day. Users can have incoming faxes directed to a
printer, a mailbox, or an e-mail address. FaxFacts Server resides
on a dedicated workstation, operating from a DOS or Windows (3.x
or NT) operating system. It uses high-end fax boards that reside
on the server workstation. Because FaxFacts® is not installed on
the network file server, it can process faxes quickly and
efficiently without straining other network applications.
Features of FaxFacts® Server include Fax From Windows, Fax Mail,
Graphical Cover Sheets, Fax Tracking (Status), and Broadcast.
Fax-on-Demand is an automated fax attendant system that dispenses
pre-formatted documents in response to telephone requests.
Callers can reach Fax-on-Demand by regular telephone or fax phone
and then respond to voice prompts by entering alpha or numeric
responses to a telephone keypad. Fax- on-Demand configurations
vary depending on the needs of the buyer. The system can also be
programmed to recognize 12 voiced responses in several different
languages. A special credit-card approval option provides the
necessary procedures to verify credit card charges when callers
are charged for documents. The system can also be configured to
recognize handwritten characters and bubbles on faxed-in forms.
Fax-on-Demand includes Voice Broadcast, a collection of voice
scripts designed to call a number and play a message.
Enhanced Fax Solutions include:
FaxFacts Server:Runs on diskless fax server which greatly
improves system performance. Offers up to nine different priority
levels, optional load balancing across outbound lines, minimized
network traffic, avoidance of self generated busy states,
automatic selection of line based on area code. It includes the
ability to store incoming faxes. These faxes can be routed to
E-mail, a printer, a remote fax machine or another fax mailbox.
Supports all networks, and features DID (Direct Inward Dial)
capability. Also includes our new feature, a Graphical Cover
Sheet program.
FaxFacts Viewer: Is used to display stored faxes. Most commonly
it is used to view faxes stored in the main mailbox so they can
be routed, printed, or deleted.
Continuous Speech Recognition: Permits speaker-independent
recognition of continuous digits, yes and no. Vocabularies are
available for several different languages.
Merge to Fax:Merge to Fax makes a fax broadcast easy. It operates
with any Windows word processor or contact manager that can do
mail merge operations.
Fax From Windows:Fax directly from any Windows applications. Fax
from Windows has custom cover sheets and the ability to attach
additional catalog images. Save the output in your image catalog
or queue them for transmission by the FaxFacts® server.
Credit Card Charge Per Fax:Automates purchasing of documents on
your system. Callers follow voice prompts and enter their credit
card information for on-line banks approval.
IV:Allows caller to use touch tone responses to communicate with
databases or host computer systems to enter or retrieve
information.
Fax Mail: Creates a virtual mailbox on a network to collect
incoming faxes. From this main mailbox, faxes can be manually
routed to any number of individual mailboxes. Interface with OCR
software to provide recognition and interpretation of handwritten
characters and bubbles on faxed-in forms.
International Fax Callback: By utilizing high speed data links
already in place, or the Internet, through service bureaus, this
application receives local faxes, packages them for transmission
overseas, delivers them to a local hub in preparation for
delivery to the final destination, and returns a confirmation to
the sender.
